American Samsung Galaxy SII's- What we know.

Last year, the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S was released overseas during spring, and the four American counterparts followed at the end of August. This year, history is set to repeat itself, with Samsung having already released the overseas version of the Galaxy SII, and set to announce the American versions on August 29th in New York City. Here is what we know about the 4 devices so far.

Verizon- Unnamed LTE Slider:

Last year's device on America's largest network was mostly similar to the overseas version. This year, Verizon seems set to try something different with an LTE equipped slider, with both of those features not included on the international version. This phone is reputed to share a release date with the Droid Bionic, September 8th.

EDIT: Verizon will not receive a Galaxy S2

T-Mobile- The Samsung Hercules:

We have already featured and article on the yet to be announced behemoth on T-mobile, click here to view it,  but here's a quick recap- 4.5 inch display, 42 mb/s radio, aluminum back cover.

Sprint- Epic Touch 4G:

Last year's Epic 4G was one of the more successful Galaxy S smartphones simply because it was the second phone in the U.S. to feature a WiMAX 4G radio. This year it won't be quite so easy to captivate (did you get that pun) the market, though Sprint will do its best. The Epic Touch looks to be the closest in design to the overseas version, featuring the textured back cover seen on that version.

AT&T- Samsung Attain:

Not much is known about the devices specifications, or whether it will feature AT&T's LTE network, One of the things we do know for sure is that it will feature a sweet looking dock- that's how it was leaked.
