The best Android launchers that money can't buy ( they're free)

If you're like me, and you're saddled with Motoblur or some other UI that you absolutely abhor, you are probably looking in to a quality launcher that is not only fast, but looks great too. Here is our favorite 5

5. Go Launcher Ex:

What we Like: It's fast and it looks decent as well. There is a large number of transitions to choose from, as well as a huge amount of themes.

What we don't: There is always a bit of lag when you open the app drawer. Not enough that you automatically write the launcher off, but enough that it can be very annoying. There is also some lag when scrolling through the apps.

Overall: B

4. ADW Launcher:

What we like: It's the most customizable launcher out there. There are themes that make it look like almost every iteration of the Android UI dreamed up by manufacturers. Not only that, but scrolling through home screens is blazing fast.

What we don't: Opening up the app drawer is SO SLOW! It is very laggy and makes the whole launcher almost unusable.

Overall: B+

3: Launcher:

What we like: It's stock Gingerbread! No frills means faster performance, and a UI as Google intended it

What we don't: No frills= lack of customization. But if you wan't a stock Gingerbread launcher, you probably are not interested in customization anyway.

Overall: A-

2. Slide Screen Pro

What we like: Almost everything. It's just so much different than anything that we have used before. But that said, it still is really fast

What we don't: It can be difficult to get the hang of using a whole new way to launch apps. It also occasionally crashes

Overall: A

1. Launcher Pro

What we like: Everything. It's customizable, blazing fast, and it has a great sense of style. It's easy to use and operate, and customizing it is a cinch.

What we don't: Nothing ( OK it's a bit annoying that every time you try to adjust a widget, a message telling you to buy Launcher Pro+ pops up.

 Overall: A+
