Why you shouldn't wait for the iPhone 5

So two years ago, you jumped on the iOS bandwagon and bought yourself a brand spanking new iPhone 3GS. At the time it was the top of the line, and it had the best specs of any phone. But with each passing year, the competition that each successive iPhone faces is greater, and you are unsure whether you should buy an iPhone 5 with your upgrade. Well here's why you shouldn't.

1. The iPhone 5 is already obsolete
Right now, the phone with the most processing power has a 1.5 ghz dual core processor. The iPhone 5 is rumored to have a dual core 1 ghz processor, 33% less processing power than a phone that is already announced and will be released this month. In December, Android manufacturers are planning to release the first quad core phones, with twice as much power as the iPhone 5.

2. It probably won't have LTE
One of the biggest things that Apple cares about is design. Instead of form following function, for Apple, function follows form. Right now, one of the biggest trends in the cell phone world is 4G LTE, which is available through two carriers in the U.S. right now. Although rumor has it that Apple is testing an LTE iPhone, they probably won't release it due to the fact that the LTE chipsets are so large. If you look at the current LTE devices, all of them are large, with 4.3 inch screens and they aren't exactly thin. So to make an LTE iPhone, right now Apple would have to compromise their design principles, something they have publicly said they are unwilling to do.

3. IceCreamSandwich
I had to mention this. Although we have written articles describing the strengths that Android holds over its counterpart, IceCreamSandwich, the unreleased Android OS coming this fall, is going to widen that gap. Although there have been some leaked photos (that we debunked), no one really knows exactly what the OS will look like. Google says that this will be the OS to stop fragmentation, and that it will run on both tablets and phones, so our best guess is just to look at honeycomb, and picture it on a phone.

Still not convinced? Then you are obviously a fanboy. Be Gone Satan!
Just Kidding. Fanboys are people too.
