Apple Patents a Battery Pack Built Into Charger

Apple recently patented a device that, while allowing you to do the rather mundane service of charging your Apple device, also allows you to charge that device while not connected to the wall. The charger doubles as a battery pack, and stores the charge while it is connected to the wall. When it becomes disconnected, it is then able to charge the device using the stored charge. This has also been recently released by a company called HyperMac. However, it seems that HyperMac will soon have a lawsuit on its hands in the way of patent infringement, as Apple patented the design first and claims that HyperMac's product used their 30 pin connector without a license.
