So I was prowling the web for any interesting tech tidbits, and I came across one of the most awesome videos that I have seen. Zdenek Kalal, the creator of the video, created an algorithm that allows him to track a certain area, learn, and stabilize video. It's hard to explain, so here is the video:

I thought something like this already existed. The video surveillance industry has this as a high end product. The casino's in Las Vegas have face recognition software. Can any one out point out where I'm mistaken?
