AT&T decided to give the world a glimpse of what its LTE network will be capable of when finally turned on later this year, and the results are impressive.
GigaOM was given a tour of AT&T's data center earlier this week in Texas, and got a special treat when AT&T demonstrated how their LTE network may perform. Whereas Verizon's network manages anywhere from 5-12 megabits download speeds, AT&T's network managed an incredible 28.6 down in what an AT&T representative described as real world conditions, which would be a welcome reprieve from their faux G.
