How to Install Gingerblur on your Rooted Motorola Atrix

This guide will assume that you have followed the previous two guides posted earlier on how to sideload apps and how to root your atrix.

Now that we have that out the way, let me just say that we at ReGiz are in no way responsible for anything negative that may happen during this process. It is a semi complicated process that may result in a soft brick if not done correctly.

There are a few prerequisites to installing gingerblur on your atrix. First off, you are going to need your phone to be rooted, have sideloading enabled through the Android Central Sideload Wonder Machine, and the most recent OTA update (4.1.83) .

The first step in this process is going to be downloading Moto A4 bootstrap recovery. What this will allow you to do is to run Gingerblur and install it. After downloading onto your computer, you will need to sideload the. Apk file onto your atrix. If done properly, it should show up as an app called system recovery on your atrix.

Next, you will need to download the. zip file off of XDA developers. You will then need to place the file on your internal storage where you can easily find it.

When the file is loaded onto your internal phone storage, open up the system recovery application and connect your phone to an AC power supply. After doing so, click install recovery. It will turn off and a screen with options will appear. Click select recover from internal SD card by scrolling down with the volume arrows and selecting with the power button. After selecting the correct file, scroll to install recovery. It will then boot gingerblur.
