To less than superb efforts. Anyway, the point is that Verizon is finally willing to throw some of their marketing weight behind the phone resulting in this commercial:
2. The Hype.
One of the reasons that everyone is so excited for the launch of a new iPhone is that they've been waiting a year for it, and over that time period there will have been numerous leaks and teasers as to what the device will be like. Most Android devices are released without much warning, so the consumer awareness to the device isn't built up much before it is released. However, since Motorola originally planned to release this in early summer, and announced it 8 months ago, the hype has been building since.
3. Lack of a Galaxy S2 on Verizon
As was reported on numerous websites, the Galaxy S2 won't be released on Verizon, and this is good news for the Bionic. There was set to be a three way competition between the Bionic, the S2, and the iPhone 5. But since the iPhone 5 won't be released until October, the Bionic will have a head start on sales and less competition.
