There are apps and weird remedies in order to save the energy guzzling phones of today, but can chilling your phone lead to a overall saving of battery life? According to some studies, lithium-ion batteries lose 20% of their charge every year. While this is a very large percent, and could very possibly be incorrect, the people at Hack-a-Day, namely Dr.West, have found that chilling your phone does save battery and have build a device in order to do this job. The device cuts the yearly loss by 6% but comes at the cost of putting your phone in the cooler every night. [via Hack-a-Day]
I'm pretty sure buying a whole new battery is cheaper...
